AAFUGIT, the Ames Area Free Unix Group on Information Technology, was
founded in 1998 in Ames, Iowa at Iowa State
University.
AAFUGIT works to promote and aid the
Ames community in using the many varieties of free
Unix-like operating
systems such as
- Linux
- OpenBSD
- FreeBSD
- NetBSD
as well as other free or open source software such as
Apache,
Perl,
Python and much, much more . . .
AAFUGIT holds weekly meetings (Wednesdays, 7 pm, 1420 Molecular Biology Building),
and hosts a collection of email lists. Both are open to
anyone interested in such software. See the faq for more details.
For additional details about AAFUGIT activities, please consult with
other group participants through one of the mailing lists.
